Read more about these here.*About The Role*This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Corporate Parenting Service, working within the Through Care Team and Leaving Care Team as a therapist. In this role, you will primarily be working with 16+ Looked After young people and care leavers, and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in therapeutic work. The post is for one year as maternity cover.*About The Team You’ll Be Working In** The Through Care Team and Leaving Care Team work with Looked After Children, Young People and Care Leavers as their Corporate Parent. The teams also support asylum seeking young people and care leavers. The post sits within the Through Care Team, which comprises 15 social workers, 2 Advanced Practitioners and 4 Assistant Team Managers, however you will be working across both teams.*About You*If the points below resonate with you, we’d love you to put in an application:1. A people person with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, adults and professionals, and those for whom English is an additional language.2. A proven ability to assess needs, risks and identify services in the locality that young people can have access to.3. Comfortable working with other agencies and professionals to ensure the therapeutic needs of the individual are met.4.
