Position: Mechanical Technician
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Working hours: 8:00 to 04:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 1:00 on Fridays
Role and Responsibilities
* In this role, you will be assembling complex components and products for the scientific industry in line with tight tolerances and customer demand.
* Perform precision mechanical assembly of bespoke products.
* Must be able to use measuring tools such as verniers, callipers and micrometres.
* Troubleshooting – identifying, documenting, resolving and reporting technical issues during the assembly process.
* Actively work with the D.O. to improve products and increase efficiency of assembly processes.
* Quality control and inspection – conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality and specifications throughout the assembly process.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ or HNC Qualified in Engineering field.
* Previous experience in assembly ideally within a scientific environment.
* Experience working to tight tolerances.
* Welding, soldering and fabrication experience (desirable).
Candidates who currently are a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Assembly Technician, Engineering Technician or Mechanical Assembler may be suitable for this position.
