About the Company - Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services provides comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of landing gear components for various aircraft makes and models, servicing units coming out of Heathrow.
About the Role
The MRO Project Manager is responsible for the commercial control of MRO events. The role involves ensuring timely delivery to the customer, within budget, and according to customer specifications. The manager will collaborate closely with the Product Line team, Operations, Planning, Billing, and Engineering to ensure complete contract fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Complete landing gear overhaul events on time and within budget.
2. Maximize customer satisfaction.
3. Ensure full customer contract fulfillment for each event.
4. Manage the progress of overhaul events, coordinating with responsible parties to align with company and customer interests.
5. Coordinate technical requirements with the Engineering team.
6. Support schedule adjustments in collaboration with the Planning team.
7. Provide feedback on event status, including delivery timelines, scrap material, and costs, to the Account Manager and Customer Support Specialist.
8. Monitor and report the costs of each event against the budget, implementing countermeasures as needed.
9. Participate in or organize event status meetings.
10. Review margin sheets and report on the profitability of each overhaul after completion.
11. Initiate and follow up on actions or projects aimed at improving overall profitability.
12. Manage post-event reviews and scoring systems.
Qualifications
* Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable.
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
* Experience with technical records or airline CAMO/part management processes.
* Preferably from an MRO background.
Required Skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent analytical skills, especially with figures and financial data.
* Ability to interpret customer contracts and specifications, and develop action plans for contract adherence.
* Proficient in standard IT tools and experienced with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP or AMOS.
Pay Range and Compensation
Up to £45,000 maximum. The role is based on a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime.
