SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ASD) Location: Bradford Primary School Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, long-term A welcoming primary school in Bradford is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from January. This role is ideal for someone who can offer structure, reassurance and consistency within the school setting. Key responsibilities: Providing 1:1 support to a KS1 learner with ASD Supporting emotional regulation and communication Helping the child access learning in a way that suits their needs Using visual supports, routines and personalised strategies Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher and external professionals What we’re looking for: Experience supporting children with ASD Calm, patient and nurturing approach Understanding of sensory needs and communication differences Ability to implement strategies such as PECs, visual timetables or social stories If you are passionate about helping children with ASD thrive in a mainstream environment, we’d love to hear from you.
