Job Title: Senior Strategy Director, Global Health (Secondment)
This is a Secondment role of 12 months that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience.
Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Run strategic sprints (special projects) to address priority decisions by running specific analyses, assessing options, and laying out recommendations.
2. Lead enterprise and disease area strategy development and support implementation across Global Health.
3. Facilitate strategic decision-making with the Global Health Leadership Team and cross-functional partners.
4. Conduct horizon scanning and external landscape analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
Education Qualification:
5. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as economics, business, public health, life sciences or related field.
Basic Qualifications:
6. Experience in strategy, portfolio management, consulting or a related role.
7. Experience developing and implementing long-term strategic plans in healthcare, pharma, global health or similar sectors.
8. Experience working with senior leaders and facilitating complex, cross-functional decision-making.
9. Analytical skills and experience in competitive/market analysis and scenario planning.
10. Experience aligning strategy to budgeting, resource allocation or portfolio prioritisation.
Preferred Qualifications:
11. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD or Masters) in strategy, public health, business or related discipline
12. Experience in global health, public health programmes or health systems strengthening.
13. Experience using impact measurement and analytics to inform portfolio prioritisation.
14. Experience working in a matrixed global organisation and managing stakeholders across regions.
15. Experience of leading strategic sprints or rapid decision forums with senior stakeholders.
16. Familiarity with integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into strategy.
Working Arrangements:
17. This role offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on-site and remote work. Remote or fully home-working arrangements are not available for this role.
