Tax Senior Manager
Are you ready to take on a senior leadership role in private client taxation? This opportunity will see you advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees on complex tax matters, with a particular focus on trusts, inheritance tax, and succession planning.
As Personal Tax Senior Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a talented team, managing a diverse portfolio, and delivering strategic solutions that make a real difference to clients. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, client care, and the chance to shape the future direction of the firm's trust and private client services.
The Role
As a senior figure in the tax team, you'll oversee compliance and advisory projects while leading a group of dedicated tax professionals. Your insights and leadership will ensure the delivery of tailored, high-quality client solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as principal on a portfolio of trust and high-net-worth clients, reviewing and signing off work.
* Providing complex tax advice on trust structures, IHT planning, and succession strategies.
* Reviewing trust accounts and ensuring compliance with legislation and professional standards.
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of advisors, fostering growth and high performance.
* Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, intermediaries, and other professional advisers.
* Supporting business development and contributing to the expansion of trust and private client services.
* Working with partners to identify risks, opportunities, and growth areas.
* Promoting the firm's wider services, particularly financial planning.
* Assisting in the running of the trust corporation.
About You
* Significant experience in trust taxation and private client work at Senior Manager/Director level.
* ATT or CTA qualified (STEP qualification desirable).
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and inspiring teams.
* Comfortable advising high-net-worth clients on complex tax and trust issues.
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
* Organised, proactive, and able to balance multiple priorities.
* Creative approach to problem solving with commercial awareness.
