Lead Pharmacist - Medicine

We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our Pharmacy Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn as Lead Pharmacist for Medicine.
In this role, you will shape the future of patient care in medicine, implementing new ways of working and technologies to meet the evolving demands of our services in the Medicines Division.
Lead the Pharmacy Clinical Service in medicine, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
Lead the Pharmacy team for medicine.
Lead medicines-related improvement projects.
Support junior pharmacist rotations on medical wards.
Deputise the Deputy Chief Pharmacist for managing the clinical pharmacy service.
Person Specification
Qualifications / training and professional development
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent demonstrable experience
* Hold or willing to work towards independent prescribing qualification
* Registered as a pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council
* MSc in Clinical Pharmacy
Experience
* Extensive post-registration experience with substantial hospital experience
* Extensive experience providing a pharmacy clinical service to patients in a range of medical sub-specialities
* Experience in providing and evaluating pharmacy education & training including mentorship
* Evidence of on-going CPD
* Experience of implementing and/or reviewing policies, guidelines, PGDs or equivalent
Skills, abilities, and knowledge
* Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and patients
* Able to provide expert advice on the use of medicines to treat patients within a specialist area
* Able to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
* Knowledge of how the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service must meet the needs of local and national priorities
* Highly specialised knowledge of the treatment of patients in a range of specialities
