Great opportunity to join a leading Energy Company at the forefront of long-duration energy storage innovation. You’ll play a key role in the construction of a groundbreaking Renewable Energy Storage Power Station in the North West, just outside Manchester.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and execute site construction across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (MEI) disciplines, ensuring delivery on budget, on schedule, and to safety and quality standards.
2. Drive HSE performance by leading toolbox talks, safety walks, and promoting a strong site safety culture.
3. Coordinate civil and MEI activities, including foundations, supports, cable routes, trenching, and structural tie-ins.
4. Provide clear feedback and progress reports while maintaining open communication with project management and client teams.
5. Support commissioning readiness and execution to ensure a seamless handover to operations.
6. Review and manage contractor performance across civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes.
Required Experience
1. Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial or energy-sector construction, including power, process, or large infrastructure projects.
3. Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, installation methods, and interface management across MEI and civil disciplines.
4. Familiarity with NEC form contracts.
5. Experience with QA/QC systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and Mechanical Completion/Commissioning readiness requirements.
