Job Description:
As a Business Development Associate, you will identify and develop strategic relationships with potential customers and introduce strategic supplier opportunities. You will assist Sales in developing a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct and indirect customer contact and lead prospecting. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Category Management, and Product Development teams to implement business development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Category Management to identify customer lead opportunities and develop those leads into potential opportunities.
* Provide qualitative and quantitative business development pipeline analysis and ongoing status updates to management.
* Develop and utilize tools to create tactical and strategic customer business cases, including revenue potential, conversion probability, costs, risks, and benefits.
* Maintain relationships with Sales, Marketing, and Category Management teams to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
* Create and distribute monthly reports on business development activities.
* Standardize data collection on business profiles, including financial backgrounds, for presenting strategic acquisitions and joint ventures to management.
Qualifications:
* High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
* 2-3 years of experience in financial services/business development.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
* Strong analytical skills in finance and accounting, including financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
* Experience leading small to medium projects, facilitating meetings, and delivering detailed quality outputs.
* Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel.
* Adaptability to changing priorities, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects concurrently.
* Independent work capability with sound judgment within scope of authority.
* Willingness to travel up to 25%.
