About the Role
Mental Health & Addictions Services are looking to appoint to the Hauora Māori Team based in Kensington Timaru. The successful applicant will provide cultural supports under Clinical direction to the Adult Community Mental Health Services, Infant Child & Adolescent, Alcohol & Drug Services Inpatient Unit Timaru Hospital, Peer Supports and inclusive of the wider hapori of South Canterbury.
The role provides a cultural lens within the multi-disciplinary team, advocating inclusion and care through concepts Māori utilizing Ta Mason Duries model of Te Whare Tapa wha. Additionally, to foster & support collaborations of Partnership, Participation & Protection with Mana Whenua and Maataa Waka.
About you
We are seeking someone with relevant Tohu experience in Mental Health and Addiction Services and with an understanding of Tikanga and Matauranga Māori, plus knowledge of and understanding of the application of Te Tiriiti o Waitangi & Hauora Maori Te Reo Rangatira. Additionally the;
