About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Driver Development Coach to join our team at the Leicester Depot. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective running of day-to-day depot operations by providing high-quality training to all drivers. You will ensure that statutory, legal, and operational requirements are met, and that drivers are skilled, competent, and compliant with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the hiring process by conducting pre-employment assessments and delivering a comprehensive 5-day driver induction, ensuring compliance with all standards and legislation.
2. Ongoing Driver Training: Provide regular refresher training and additional mode training to improve driver skills and customer service.
3. Record Management: Maintain accurate records of driver competence and training using Express Class.
4. Post-Incident Support: Conduct reassessments and retraining for drivers involved in incidents to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.
5. Driving Performance Reviews: Analyse driving data in collaboration with management to identify areas for support and development.
