Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join a business based in East Bristol for a period of 6 months. This role is key in ensuring the successful delivery of data migration during a system implementation. Location: East Bristol Working hours: 37.5 across the week, 2 days a week in the office & 3 from home Role: Project Accountant Salary: Up to £55,000 (Depending on experience & qualifications) Duration: 6 months fixed term contract Start date: ASAP Responsibilities: The purpose of this contract is to support the successful delivery of cleansed data to allow data migration to a new system implementation. Which involves: Running transactional reports identifying incorrect balance and transactional detail Assessing the corrective accounting treatment - including liaison with wider teams Creation of correction journals - ensuring they are posted correctly and running final reconciliations Any final close out tasks, for example ensuring legacy accounts are locked down within the system Status reporting weekly to feedback on progress Skills/Experience needed: Analysing high volumes of data within reconciliation activities Delivery focussed with a proven track record of project delivery Strong, clear and concise communication skills Ability to challenge status quo with strong problem solving skills Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, and proficient Powerpoint Ability to work proactively and autonomously Financially minded, with a strong attention to detail and able to deliver 'right-first-time' results A desire to be part of the project delivering true change to the Finance Function Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment Relevant qualifications - Desirable Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
