The Electrical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the electrical systems and infrastructure of a large-scale battery storage site. This includes managing all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and compliance, while ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and company standards. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and battery modules. * Lead and manage electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely and safe project delivery. * Ensure compliance with national electrical regulations and safety standards (e.g., BS 7671, HSE guidelines). * Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems, reporting and resolving any issues. * Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and records. * Collaborate with project engineers, asset managers, and control centre staff for system integration and performance optimization. * Lead fault response and root cause analysis for any electrical incidents or outages. * Participate in design reviews and provide input on electrical engineering aspects of new projects. Qualifications: * Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field. * 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy or battery storage. * Strong knowledge of high-voltage (HV) systems and electrical distribution. * Proven experience managing contractors and ensuring HSE compliance. * Familiarity with SCADA systems, protection relays, and energy management platforms is a plus. * ECS/CSCS card, HV certification, and/or AP (Authorised Person) status are desirable.
