Mobile Plant and Maintenance Engineer
Company: CAN (part of the RSK Group)
Employment: Full‑time, permanent (40 hours a week, 8:00 am–4:30 pm Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities
* Service, build and repair CAN plant in our workshops
* Work on bespoke drilling equipment as well as typical construction plant
* Perform routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant
* Carry out fault diagnostics and mechanical repairs
* Make regular visits to maintain and repair CAN plant on-site (UK‑wide)
* Respond promptly to on‑site breakdowns
* Manage parts ordering and service documentation
* Maintain accurate service records via tablet
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven qualifications and experience as a Plant Fitter (NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering or Land‑Based Service Engineering level 3)
* Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
* A valid driving licence
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently using initiative
* Flexible, keen to embrace new training opportunities (may require occasional travel away from base)
