The Role

As an experienced Fire Safety Officer, working with our Primary Authority Manager, you will be supporting and developing our Primary Authority relationships with existing and new partners, delivering fire safety advice to a wide range of businesses across the UK. This will involve travel and accommodation outside Cornwall as part of the role.

You will also be supporting our proactive Protection delivery team, through our fire safety regulatory activities, involving advice and guidance to businesses, audits and enforcement.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern

37 hours per week. This role will be on a fixed term basis of 3 years.

Hours can be worked flexibly to suit the requirements of the post holder and Service requirements, which can be discussed and confirmed with the Primary Authority Manager.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Essential Qualifications and Skills Required for the Role:

* Fire Safety - Level 4 diploma
* Previous experience in Fire Safety Regulatory activities
* Full UK driving licence
* Great communication skills

Desirable Qualifications Required For The Role

* APCIL legal experience qualification (level 7) or similar
