We're seeking a Design Governance Specialist with strong design knowledge and cross-discipline process experience (design, engineering, acquisition, planning, build). You'll help ensure changes are clearly understood and communicated to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining business continuity.
Working within the Design Governance team, you'll collaborate to meet team goals, stay up to date with customer requirements, and support design delivery managers and partners. This role is key to enabling efficient, high-quality design outcomes and fostering strong collaboration.
You'll contribute to creating and maintaining national and project-specific design guidance, support partners in workshops, communicate key messages effectively, and help promote desired behaviours.
You'll also work closely with the Design Assurance team to identify and resolve problems, with opportunities to contribute to transformational initiatives and develop your skills alongside industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
* Support regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security.
* Maintain and produce guidance documents to ensure consistent standards.
* Stay up to date with industry changes, highlighting risks and opportunities.
* Provide guidance and support to delivery teams on technical design matters.
* Build and grow strong customer relationships, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
* Clearly articulate ideas and solutions to varied audiences.
* Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, identifying technology and automation opportunities.
* Support digital delivery initiatives including drone and 3D scanning technology for digital twin creation.
Person Specification
* Good knowledge of the telecoms industry and cross-functional processes.
* At least 5 years' experience in telecoms engineering or related fields.
* Understanding of MNO guidance and CAD or similar platforms.
* HND or higher in M&E Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Civil, Telecommunications, Product Development or similar.
* Strong IT and organisational skills, proactive mindset, and ability to adapt quickly.
* Power BI, Site Tracker, Power Automate, SharePoint, BIM, Digital Twin experience.
