* The post is to commence as soon as practicable
* Initial working hours will be 13:00 - 21:00 (Mon - Thu), 13:00 - 20:30 (Fri) includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
To ensure the school is opened and closed on time. To oversee and maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment for all staff, students and community visitors. To oversee the operation of the out of hours usage, health and safety and site maintenance of the school in liaison with the site manager.
Key responsibilities:
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
* Overseeing a site maintenance refurbishment programme in liaison with the Site Manager.
* Maintaining a log of Health & Safety concerns raised and action taken.
* Keeping the Site Manager informed of Health & Safety concerns and recommending action where necessary.
* Adhere to risk assessment procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
* Complete maintenance tasks both planned and reactive in a timely fashion or to a schedule as set by the Site Manager
* Complete periodical maintenance, health and safety and cleaning checks, tests and logs as directed by the Site Manager
* Practical (hands-on) involvement in aspects of security, maintenance and refurbishment in consultation with the Site Manager.
