Offer description

Overview

You’re already an audiologist - so why choose us? Because we’re building one of the most modern, well-equipped, and career-focused audiology services in the NHS and we want you to help shape it. Our department has received £220,000 in NHS England funding for new roles and an additional three-quarters of a million pounds for cutting-edge equipment, including brand-new adult and paediatric testing booths. This transformation means more services for our community and more opportunities for your career. No two days here are the same. You’ll work across acute hospital clinics, community settings, and outreach locations, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues in the multidisciplinary team from ENT consultants and nurses to GPs and community health professionals. You’ll benefit from recent investment in our digital services, with plans to make workflows faster, more connected, and better for both staff and patients.

Based in Scunthorpe or Grimsby, you’ll join a warm, supportive team delivering a full range of adult hearing care, including diagnostics, direct referral clinics, and hearing aid fitting and verification.

Responsibilities

* Deliver a full range of adult hearing care, including diagnostics, direct referral clinics, and hearing aid fitting and verification.

Qualifications

* Have a BSc in Audiology (or BAAT Parts 1 & 2 pre-2006) and are registered with AHCS or HCPC, or are newly qualified and eligible to register.
* Can perform diagnostic tests including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, TEOAE, PTA, otoscopy, and video otoscopy.
* Have experience in hearing aid fitting and verification (REMs) and can spot red flags requiring onward referral.
* Communicate well, work well in a team, and adapt positively to change.

What we offer and additional information

We offer more than just a job; you’ll be joining a supportive “family feel” team that values your input and has a proven record of promoting from within. We are committed to flexible working, equal opportunities, and a fair, supportive working environment.
