Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining high standards of hospitality within our establishment.

Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
* Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards.
* Manage daily kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
* Provide training and mentorship to staff members to foster professional growth and maintain a motivated team environment.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.
* Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as needed to optimise productivity and quality.

Skills

* Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment.
* Extensive background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
* Creative flair for menu development coupled with a solid understanding of culinary trends.
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating leadership in high-pressure settings.
* Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
* Ability to maintain composure under pressure while ensuring consistent quality standards are met. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
