About the Role
Join Hackney Children and Families Service’s Quality Assurance and Improvement Team as a Workforce and Practice Development Officer. You will support the implementation of our new practice model – Systemic, Trauma‑informed and Anti‑Racist (STAR) – and contribute to the planning and delivery of training and development across the workforce, including foster carers.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and evaluate projects related to staff training and development.
* Identify training needs and lead the development of plans to address those needs.
* Oversee systems for tracking, organising and evaluating training engagement.
* Produce analytical reports using qualitative and quantitative data to recommend improvements.
* Work with external organisations to research and source training and development opportunities.
* Support the implementation of the Workforce Strategy and its workstreams on wellbeing, recruitment and retention, practice learning, and CPD/STAR.
Qualifications
* Strong written communication skills – ability to present complex information concisely and accessibly.
* Effective communication with individuals and groups at all levels of the service and with partner organisations.
* Ability to multi‑task and coordinate multiple projects.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Initiative and independence in managing workload and coordinating with colleagues.
* Enhanced DBS Check – required for the role.
