Overview

In this position you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a quality radiology service for our patients and referring medical staff. This will involve providing clinical support to Doctors and Radiographers throughout the department, and assisting with manual handling tasks in a manner which is safe for both patients and staff. You will be required to rotate through different Radiology areas (Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Breast unit and A&E imaging) and assist the staff in providing the highest qualities of care to a diverse range of patients.


Responsibilities

* Provide clinical support to Doctors and Radiographers throughout the department and assist with manual handling tasks in a safe manner for patients and staff.
* Support the Radiology Department team in delivering a quality radiology service.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and care standards are maintained.


Department context

An exciting opportunity has become available in the Radiology Department of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust for Radiology Department Assistants. We are looking for highly motivated staff of excellent calibre to become part of our dynamic team, which promotes our World Class Care Values. The department is undergoing a multi-million-pound redevelopment program whereby Nuclear Medicine, MRI and the Interventional Unit are upgrading their equipment. The working pattern is a mixture of day shifts over 7 days. The department actively encourages continued professional development (CPD) and opportunities are available for further training and development.


Location and Organisation
