Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association within the engineering education sector, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Instructor. This position is based at the training centre in Hull, offering a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering apprenticeship and adult skills training to company standards
* Creating a positive and engaging learning environment for apprentices
* Ensuring all training meets Health & Safety guidelines
* Providing feedback and support to apprentices
* Maintaining accurate records of learners' progress and achievements
Job Requirements:
* Experience in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
* Proficiency in lathe and milling machine operation
* Safe use of hand tools
* Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics
* Understanding of Health & Safety practices and procedures
* A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification
* Good interpersonal and computer skills
* Full driving licence
* A working knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable but not essential. Although assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, full support will be provided to develop necessary skills.
