Overview

Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Location: Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen • Hours: 37 hours per week • Shift Pattern: Rotational days and nights

Make a Difference in Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability Care. Are you a compassionate and motivated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in mental health and learning disability services? We are recruiting Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to join dedicated teams across a range of Specialist MHLD Inpatient Pathways, including:

* Adult Mental Health
* Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU)
* Forensic Mental Health
* Older Adult Mental Health
* Rehabilitation Services
* Acquired Brain Injury
* Learning Disabilities
* Eating Disorders

This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of specialist pathways, gaining experience in diverse clinical areas including forensic, rehabilitation, and neuropsychiatric care.


Your Role

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will:

* Deliver safe, person-centred care under the supervision of registered practitioners.
* Support individuals with complex needs and contribute to therapeutic interventions.
* Carry out delegated clinical tasks such as patient observations, wound care, NEWS scoring, and psychosocial support.
* Use digital systems for documentation and communication.
* Participate in supervision and contribute to team development.

You will be part of a trauma-informed, recovery-focused service that values compassion, dignity, and respect.

* Relevant care experience (mental health or learning disabilities preferred)
* A caring and compassionate approach
* Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including nights
* Commitment to trauma-informed and recovery-focused care
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Emotional resilience and ability to support individuals in distress
* Digital literacy and willingness to use electronic patient record systems
* Willingness to support learning and contribute to service improvement
