About the role
North Yorkshire Council’s Adoption Service is nationally recognised for excellence and we are seeking experienced and passionate Adoption Social Workers to join the team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to children and families by supporting them through the adoption journey. If you are committed, enthusiastic, and ready for a rewarding challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Working in the adoption team is an exciting, challenging, unique and rewarding job. It is a role that gives social workers the opportunity to operate within a range of contexts; undertaking assessments of prospective adopters, providing adoption support services to children and families, providing preparatory training to prospective adoptive parents, and being part of a professional team to support the matching and placing of children.
Culture & Support
We are committed to creating a positive and supportive team culture where social workers feel that they have a forum to share their views. We demonstrate that the voice of the child and family shapes the service we provide.
