Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 70 year old gentleman living in the Penarth area. I used to work for British Aerospace. I enjoy seeing my family and watching television during the day. I have a diagnosis of Dementia which makes me childlike. You will join a team of PAs to support me within the home as I need prompting with every daily tasks.
PLACE OF WORK
In the home and support with daily walks to maintain my mobility.
HOURS OF WORK
3 shifts a day – 9.30am -11.30am
1.30pm – 3pm
8.30pm – 10.30pm

RATE OF PAY
£13.00 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Prompting with tasks and with daily routine
Personal care is required – Shower/ Shave/Dressed
Meal preparation
Encourage & support on a daily walk
Provide me with company
Ensure I am safe at all times
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
A reliable and consistent person
Someone who is caring and patient
A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home
Someone who is proactive and has awareness of my needs
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a four weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
