We are look for Senior Poject Manager to join the Defence South team, supporting our clients to deliver a range of construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South of the UK spanning from the with additional opportunities to work on projects across the rest of the UK. The team is made up of over 40 people with our central office in London; however we have team members based all over the South & Midlands. Owing to the complex nature of the projects we are involved in, this role will suit Project Managers from a Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure or Construction background with proven experience, understanding and adherence to process and governance. NEC accreditation and proficiency in managing these types of contracts would be advantageous. This will be a consultancy-based role, working in a client-focused environment – where we are measured on working closely with clients, while taking personal responsibility in dealing with clients and striving to go above their expectations. We anticipate you being on client sites or Turner & Townsend offices 60% of your time which could include travel, but this may flex depending on client and business requirements. See “working in teams / site attendance” for more information. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE: To lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery. Work with clients, while managing the existing key accounts and developing new and existing relationships. To provide support on major Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery. Managing and controlling the commercial aspects of projects and programmes; experienced to be able to lead monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets. Managing the schedule and wider elements of complex projects and programmes To ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards. Supporting clients as they transition to Net Zero and deal with wider changes to make themselves more sustainable. Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients.
