ICT is looking to recruit a suitably qualified ICT engineer, to support delivery across the ICT Technology Modernisation Programme. This role requires candidates experience working within the field of ICT. The position will require strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team to meet deadlines. The post holder will be required to carry out planned work such as device builds and respond to ad-hoc issues. The position requires technical support to be administered to customers in person and using remote diagnostic tools. Applicants must have a flexible approach and be willing to travel to different sites within the borough; own transport preferred.
* Experience and technical knowledge of supporting Windows 11
* Interest in preparing, packaging and distributing software applications for installation
* Knowledge and experience supporting laptop and desktop hardware
* Basic understanding of SCCM, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 and Intune
* Experience of supporting a wide range of desktop applications within a corporate environment
* Excellent all-round communication skills, written, oral & presentation
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive on-time delivery of tasks
The council operates hybrid working. This involves working from an agreed workplace location in the borough 5 days a week. The post holder must be willing to travel to different Council offices within the borough, e.g. to meet with project stakeholders and team members as required. A flexible approach will be needed; own transport preferred.
