Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit at Ninewells, a large teaching hospital in Dundee. The successful applicant will be a forward thinking and proactive nurse, who has experience in a relevant specialty at a senior level. You will have a passion for delivering exemplary care to all patients and for striving to push the boundaries of traditional roles.
You will help provide a leadership role for a team of Nurse Practitioners whilst being an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be expected to provide advanced clinical skills and decision making by assessing, diagnosing, planning and implementing evidenced based care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed unscheduled surgical care needs. In return we will support you to excel in your autonomous practice within a caring, responsive and friendly team and organisation.
Hours of work are: 37 hours pro rata based upon 12 hour shift pattern over seven days a week.
It is essential that the candidate has completed the Clinical Assessment Module (SCQF Level 11) and has completed or is working towards the Non-Medical Prescribing Module associated to the role. Evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting is essential. Extensive experience in more than one speciality is desirable and experience at Band 6 level is essential. You must be registered on the HCPC register.

* HCPC registration is essential.
* Clinical Assessment Module (SCQF Level 11) completed or in progress.
* Non-Medical Prescribing Module completed or in progress.
* Evidence of continual professional development in an appropriate clinical setting.
* Extensive experience in more than one specialty is desirable; Band 6 level experience is essential.
