We are partnering with a world-class innovation and research centre as they embark on an exciting growth journey.
The Procurement Category Manager for Facilities Services is a newly created position within a greenfield Procurement team, supporting the Head of Procurement and wider team in delivering first-class procurement activity, developing robust category strategies, and establishing processes across the group.
You will take ownership of the FM category and supplier management for both Hard and Soft services, as well as Laboratory Equipment and Services. Candidates with experience building category strategies from scratch and implementing them across organizations are preferred. You will manage a varied and growing estate.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an ambitious mindset, capable of working in an agile environment, and excited by the prospect of supporting a greenfield team’s growth and development with their experience and skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* 8 years of procurement experience, focusing significantly on Facilities Management sourcing.
* Experience managing procurement activities for laboratory equipment and related services within an FM context.
* Proven track record in leading complex procurement projects and delivering measurable value.
* Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Research) is advantageous.
* Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (Master’s degree desirable).
* MCIPS qualification or active pursuit of full membership is highly desirable.
Our client has significant growth plans over the next 3 years, including a new state-of-the-art campus under construction and expanding headcount from hundreds to thousands by 2027.
