Clinical Technologist Medical Equipment Management
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic individual to join the Clinical Engineering team based at Field Way.
Successful candidates will be expected to repair and maintain a wide range of medical equipment. The role suits someone with an engineering or technology qualification, ideally with medical knowledge.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Technologist/Medical Engineer will handle day-to-day technical problems and tasks related to maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment. The post holder will have direct patient interaction and will communicate equipment-related issues to relevant stakeholders, including clinical colleagues, patients, and carers.

Person specification
Qualifications
* OND/HNC/HND or BSc qualification in a relevant engineering subject
* Able to meet the requirements for registration at EngTech
* Able to meet the requirements to join the Register of Clinical Technologists or a HCPC Practitioner
Experience
* Have sufficient experience of servicing electronic/electrical equipment
* Some experience in applying workshop technology to patient-critical equipment and techniques in healthcare
* Experience of maintaining a wide range of medical equipment
Skills
* General IT skills, working with databases
* Using hand tools and craft skills
* Complex problem solving, using a logical process approach
* Technical report writing and communication
Knowledge
* Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
