Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our award-winning client to source a Quality Advisor based in Aberdeen.
The company manufactures and provides specialist equipment and services for the oil and gas, renewables, and defence sectors on a global scale. They have experienced an impressive period of growth in recent years.
They seek an experienced quality assurance advisor with expertise in non-conformance investigations, internal audits, and client audits.
Key responsibilities
1. Support the evaluation and review of client quality requirements during pre-qualification and tender activities, ensuring timely responses.
2. Support the periodic review of Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plan templates, providing feedback to the Projects department.
3. Identify, develop, and implement programmes to promote sustained quality performance within the business.
4. Provide guidance, support, and training on quality activities to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Assist in the development and improvement of the quality management system and related applications, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 9001 and API Q1.
6. Communicate changes to quality management systems and applications to relevant stakeholders.
7. Provide training and information on quality management systems and applications.
8. Coordinate process risk evaluations and implement controls to reduce potential failures, e.g., using FMEA.
9. Ensure NCRs are investigated promptly, with root causes and corrective actions identified and implemented to prevent recurrence.
10. Maintain product identification and traceability to meet client and project requirements.
11. Ensure calibration and maintenance of monitoring devices, retaining documented records.
12. Segregate damaged or faulty devices, and oversee their repair, recalibration, or disposal with proper approval.
13. Conduct and report internal audits to verify compliance with quality systems and client requirements.
14. Support audit programs through training and execution of internal and third-party audits.
15. Share audit outcomes promptly, ensuring findings are communicated and addressed.
16. Improve audit programs based on business risks and opportunities.
17. Support third-party audits, including client and certification audits.
18. Monitor and review quality system performance, recommending improvements.
19. Report on quality performance internally and externally, including client and project reports.
20. Participate in lessons learned reviews to identify and share insights.
Candidates should have relevant experience in a quality assurance role, an Internal Auditor qualification, and experience with internal and external audits, as well as maintaining management systems and leading root cause investigations.
The salary range is £45k to £57k per annum, with an attractive benefits package including a bonus scheme, discounts, and an employee assistance program.
