Based from 55 St John St, London EC1M 4AN. This role will work predominantly from our London office but will be required to travel to our Milton Keynes Warehouse location as needed.
Vendor Relations and Content Procurement — London
Maintains profitable vendor relations to secure applicable Ingram Content Group UK Ltd. ("ICG") content and recommend service offerings. Identifies, analyzes, and negotiates procurement of physical inventory.
* Makes buying decisions on content for the target group of publishers assigned.
* Works with assigned publishers to make sure that ICG has all available titles represented and assures ICG data is accurate and up-to-date (includes pricing, format, publication date, subject category, and availability) for assigned publishers’ data.
* Evaluates ICG’s financial exposure with each assigned publisher monthly and decides whether ICG will issue payment to the publisher and, if so, how much will be paid.
* Analyzes and reviews current publisher activities within the ICG service offerings and evaluates and recommends business opportunities to match services to vendor short-term and long-term goals.
* Partners with the ICG team to present and sell range of products and services to vendors.
* Participates in strategic business review discussions based on critical analysis and make recommendations that will drive profitability.
* Works to ensure the efficient and accurate use of technology to procure, forecast new and reorder inventory needs, allocations, returns and transfers from within company overstock.
* Analyzes various vendor activity reports for key performance indicators and recommends the activities to ensure enhanced financial performance and profit contribution. Key performance indicators include fill rate, inventory turn, aged inventory, and sell-through.
* Have regular contact with all sales channels within ICG with the objective of ensuring sales channel satisfaction with product-related issues.
* Ensure vendors are engaged in the appropriate ICG Products and Services.
* Understands key marketing initiatives and opportunities with publishers and ICG marketing. Makes recommendations when needed and appropriate.
* Communicates relevant market information to sales and marketing channels. Ensures that information on high profile titles is disseminated appropriately at Ingram and to our customers.
* Reviews vendor P&L statements to ensure maximum profitability regularly.
* Resolves and communicates resolution of Vendor issues, both internally and externally.
* Directs vendor activities to meet strategic goals and objective. Analyzes and leads the activity to address key measurement results and develops processes to improve business relationships.
Qualifications — London
* Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent B2B Management experience in either publishing, wholesale or retail bookselling
* Minimum 3 years progressive experience in 3 or more of the following: Team Management, Purchasing, Sales, Distribution, Inventory Management, Project Management and maintaining significant supplier relationships.
London – Content Acquisition and UK Trade
Based from 54 St John St, Clerkenwell, London, UK
Work closely with the content acquisition team concentrating on maximising new customer acquisition and set up of new print on-demand titles from publishers across publishing segments. Particular focus will be on data driven analysis to close business and will work with management on forecasting, data analysis and price modelling. Based in the London office building out the UK Trade business is a key element to this role.
* Manage a portfolio of customers in order to maximise their value in terms of print unit revenue and margin as agreed in sales budget and forecasts
* Work closely with Global Customer/Client Services team and the US Sales team on global accounts to support international growth
* Work with the Marketing department to generate leads and to set-up meetings with target organisations
* Negotiate pricing and contracts with reference to the Deal Forms process as appropriate
* Understand and be able to demonstrate the key digital products and services of relevance to the territories and markets assigned. Understand and be able to converse fluently on the emerging digital marketplace.
* Make cold calls and presentations to target leads and manage the sales process to account opening and signed contracts.
* Participate in planning and implementation with publishers through to contract signature stage, following agreed protocols for contract negotiation. Engage with relevant business units in the development of project execution and implementation planning post contract signature
* Attend trade events
* Regularly report on activities and completed sales across the range of solutions & provide regular customer, competitor and market feedback to management as required

Milton Keynes – CoreSource Publisher Integration
Based from Pitfield, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes MK11, UK – with remote work option
Responsible for the integration of publishers by coordinating integration activities for CoreSource clients. Communicates timelines and project plans to publishers and manages the effectiveness of the plan, during the set-up phase and on as-needed basis, recommending changes as necessary. Manages key customer accounts and coordinates and communicates all issues between CoreSource and a publisher and tracks issue resolution to completion, until the publisher’s account stabilizes. Maintains a positive attitude and fosters a positive customer experience, while meeting or exceeding the customers’ expectations.
* Integrates assigned clients, ensuring publisher understands CoreSource system requirements
* Serves as the publisher’s primary contact, effectively communicating updates and changes regarding the client’s CoreSource integration
* Defines the scope of projects with the publisher, develops procedures to fully integrate publisher with CoreSource and other ICG departments and sees these projects to completion.
* Incorporates and communicates any process improvements and enhancements to integration plan that will benefit both CoreSource and the publisher.
* Transitions publisher client to the CS – Technical Support team at conclusion of defined projects, or retains client for day-to-day system support/account management
* Understands publisher’s connectivity and system needs.
* Provides publisher with acceptable formats for file data exchange, confirming that titles and metadata information are acquired and are set up correctly in the CoreSource system.
* Works with the publisher to validate eBook, audio, and print files and title metadata; identifying and reporting any errors to publisher and successfully working to get issue resolved.
* Utilizes spreadsheets to manipulate title information necessary to ensure successful submission into CoreSource.
* Manages onboarding project plans for CoreSource publishers. Oversees and reports on progress against the integration plan, both internally and externally.
* Provides regular and timely status information to publisher and Management.
* Ensures billing and financial arrangements have been properly established with LS’s Finance group.
* Negotiates with publisher for delivery of information and solutions for any issues that arise.
* Schedules regular calls with clients, presenting new programs to clients, communicating client benefits and requirements. Works with publisher to tailor new programs to their needs.
* Manages Key Account customer relationships interfacing with Pre-Media, Sales, Accounting, CoreSource, IPS and 3PL as needed to communicate requirements and integrate publisher in a seamless process.
