Join to apply for the Senior Charge Nurse role at NHS Highland. We are recruiting an experienced nurse to lead our Acute Stroke / Young Adult Rehab Unit based in Ward 2A at Raigmore Hospital.
Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and a flexible approach to work. It is essential that you have demonstrable leadership skills to meet the requirements of this busy environment and to take forward and deliver on the Quality agenda. Engagement with patients, relatives, and the staff team is a vital part of the Senior Charge Nurse role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture. The successful candidate will be required to create a culture of continuous improvement where the patient is at the heart of the care we deliver.
This position is worked Monday to Friday with a requirement to participate in the hospital Duty Senior Charge Nurse evening and weekend rota.

Responsibilities
* Lead the Acute Stroke / Young Adult Rehab Unit (Ward 2A, Raigmore Hospital) and promote a patient-centred culture.
* Demonstrate strong leadership, engage with patients, relatives, and staff, and promote a compassionate, supportive environment.
* Drive continuous improvement and deliver on the Quality agenda.
* Represent the unit in line with first-level registered nurse responsibilities and maintain a safe, effective service.
* Take forward and implement improvements in care delivery.
* Participate in the hospital Duty Senior Charge Nurse evening and weekend rota.
Qualifications
* First-level registered nurse, educated to degree level.
* Recent experience as a Senior Staff Nurse.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt to changing circumstances; flexible and capable of working in a busy environment.
* Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to patient-centered care.
