An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individuals to work within West Dunbartonshire Councils Children & Families Team.
The aim of a Support Worker is to increase, through timely support and intervention, the life chances and opportunities of children and families most excluded and at risk within the community.
Although no formal qualifications are essential for this post, a SVQ Social Care or related qualification are desirable and a willingness to undertake vocational training is required.
The successful candidates will be given regular support and supervision as well as vocational training opportunities. You will be expected to undertake a range of work with families and forge good home/school and nursery links. Some weekend work may be required and a full driving licence is essential.
