The primary objective of this role is to provide support for on-site customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, repairs, and warranty work. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of military vehicles and equipment both on- site and in the field, ensuring compliance with Company technical service standards and relevant statutory regulations.
* Independently deploying to customer sites, managing order processing, and handling contractual documentation.
* Ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, particularly concerning workplace safety and environmental protection.
* Preparing safe and compliant work sites, tools, and materials.
* Managing facilities independently in coordination with a technical team.
* Conducting training internally and externally within the customer community.
* Maintaining high levels of customer care and satisfaction.
* Executing fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned and unplanned maintenance, and repair work at all necessary stages.
* Accurately completing all documentation, including job sheets and work orders.
* Creating work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications.
* Training and instructing new employees to equip them for success in their roles.
What we’re looking for:
We're seeking individuals with substantial experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance, and repair, preferably within military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, or specialist vehicle manufacture. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in completing relevant technical documentation and paperwork in accordance with industry standards. Additionally, expertise in operating automotive diagnostic equipment, conducting diagnostic fault finding, and troubleshooting is essential.
A City & Guilds Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3 qualification or equivalent, along with test authorization for technical tests specified by statutory authorities, is required. Holding a Class 2 driving license is preferred, and experience in military vehicle maintenance would be advantageous. Basic knowledge of the German language would also be beneficial.
