Job Responsibilities
Carry out preventive maintenance and equipment breakdown repairs to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Establish process conditions and perform in-line quality checks to maintain product standards.
Monitor and control processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
Maintain and develop the delivery of finished products in line with cost, quality, and production schedules.
Build and nurture excellent relationships with key stakeholders on site to support operational objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Time served or NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
Proven experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and servo control systems, with a preference for Omron PLCs.
Experience working with robotics, ideally ABB, including automated assembly lines; training can be provided if necessary.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings accurately.
Competence in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training protocols.
Flexibility to work night shifts on an occasional basis when required.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing maintenance.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to carry out root cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, versatile, and capable of working independently without supervision.
Additional advantageous skills include experience with injection moulding, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and Omron vision systems (training available).
Working hours: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm Mon to Thurs. 6am - 12pm, 11am - 4.35pm Fri
9pm - 6:30am Mon - Thurs (when required)
