Private Client Solicitor – Ilkley
A well-regarded regional law firm is seeking an ambitious and motivated Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing team based in Ilkley. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a successful office, working closely with colleagues while managing a varied and high-quality private client caseload.
The role would suit a Lawyer who enjoys building long-term client relationships and is confident handling matters independently while contributing to the development of the wider department. You will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the private client practice and maintaining the firm's strong reputation for exceptional client service.

- Managing a varied private client caseload, including:
- Drafting Wills
- Preparing and advising on Trusts
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Trust and Estate Administration
Using case management systems to efficiently manage files and progress mattersMaintaining and developing strong relationships with existing clients while building connections with third-party referrersActing as a senior member of the team within the Ilkley office, supporting its ongoing success and developmentContributing to the growth and visibility of the private client department, including involvement in marketing initiativesManaging the financial performance of your matters, including billing and cashflowCollaborating with colleagues across the firm to cross-refer work and support client needsIdentifying opportunities to expand client relationships and generate further workIdeally acting as a lead member of the Court of Protection team
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in private client law
- Proven experience handling matters such as Wills, Trusts, LPAs and estate administration
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage matters independently
- Ability to mentor and support colleagues within the department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, approachable and resilient when working with clients and colleagues
