Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, maintaining care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for all residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support residents in daily activities including meal preparation and feeding.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans for each resident.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
* Document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours promptly.
* Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
* Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience when dealing with vulnerable individuals.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record management.
