Overview
To lead, direct, and optimise end-to-end logistics and storage operations. The manager will be responsible for strategic planning, operational control, compliance, and team leadership to ensure the secure, compliant, and cost-effective movement and storage of goods.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching, ensuring high-value stock is managed securely.
2. Plan and optimize space utilization, workflow, and inventory management systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
3. Ensure full compliance with UK import regulations, health and safety standards, and insurance regulations. Maintain safe storage, particularly for temperature-controlled or hazardous materials.
4. Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and couriers to manage logistics capacity and improve service levels.
5. Produce regular management reports on logistics performance, inventory accuracy, and financial expenditure.
