Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
* Train and mentor junior team members to develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
* Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and seasonal offerings.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to hygiene standards.
* Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
* Proficiency in food preparation techniques across diverse cuisines.
* Experience in restaurant service environments with an understanding of hospitality standards.
