Audio Video Engineer
Location: Cork, Ireland Fully Onsite
We are looking for an Audio-Video QA Engineer to test the variety of Audio & Visuals of different applications/technologies and workflows specific to Mac products and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
This position will provide the opportunity to work with the latest hardware and software and be part of a rapidly growing organisation. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting manual tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meet customer's expectations.
The work would involve testing of Audio and Video workflows with various MacOS applications and Audio/Video equipment.
Video: Softron Movie Recorder/ OnTheAir CG, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, ToolsOnAir Just In/Just play, Final Cut Pro,
Audio: Avid Pro Tools, Universal Audio Luna, Steinberg Cubase, Logic Pro
Audio/Video equipment: AJA, Blackmagic, Deltacast PCIe Video I/O, Pro Tools HDX, Lynx, Universal Audio, RME, Focusrite Audio PCIe cards.
Responsibilities
• Running manual testing on Mac devices, writing test plans, executing tests, and
isolating and documenting issues.
• Working with the local and engineering teams to complete Audio-Video focused testing on schedule.
• Working cross-functionally to drive quality and communicate results.
• Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs found via debugging tools.
• Debugging and troubleshooting device hardware/software failures.
Requirements
• Solid debugging experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• In-depth knowledge of MacOS and/or UNIX.
• Technical knowledge of wireless technologies.
• Ability to execute manual tests for compatibility of Apple hardware and software.
Education & Experience
• BS degree in technical field, such as Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work
