How You'll Make a Difference
Through developing strong partnership work with various agencies, services, and communities, you will organise support systems and services to facilitate resettlement and integration processes.
The Resettling Communities Service is responsible for the local delivery of national humanitarian resettlement programmes including the Homes for Ukraine Programme, UK Resettlement Scheme, Afghan Resettlement Programme, Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Programme, and work with asylum seekers.
What You Will Be Doing
* Design, coordinate, and deliver activities aimed at supporting individuals arriving in South Gloucestershire under various humanitarian programmes.
* Deliver several small integration projects or support a particular resettlement programme, such as Afghan or Hong Kong resettlement schemes.
* Maintain regular contact with all relevant teams and services to ensure that the needs of the resettling cohorts are met and service user queries are resolved, providing clear and accurate advice.
* Undertake research where necessary to help improve service requirements.
What We Need From You
* Hold (or be working towards) a relevant degree level qualification such as public health, social work, community education/development, or demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge in an operational/service delivery role within humanitarian resettlement programmes, social work, or public health.
* Well-developed communication, influencing, and negotiating skills, with the ability to analyse, prioritise, and organise workload to meet deadlines.
* Awareness of safeguarding.
* Excellent report writing skills.
What You Need To Know
* This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
* This is a limited term contract, ending 31st March 2026.
* This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.
Interviews will be held the week commencing 9th June 2025.
