Salary: SCP 31 £40,476 to SCP 36 £45,718 pa Career Grade (Bar at £41,511 & £43,693) (Inclusive of Retention Payments, Subject to Review March 2028)
This is a time of exciting change in South Tyneside and we are looking to recruit two highly skilled and experienced Social Workers to work within our busy MASH and Assessment Teams. The successful candidates must be registered with SW England and must have at least two years post qualifying direct experience of front line safeguarding of children.
The MASH is an integrated single point of access in South Tyneside provided multi-agency triage and assessment of safeguarding enquiries and requests for support relating to children and their families. As a Social Worker in the MASH you will play a key role in the daily screening and response to referrals about children living in the South Tyneside area, alongside a well established team of multi-agency partners.
The Assessment Teams are the first people to meet children and families and set the tone for a collaborative and supportive relationship. Working in the Assessment Team is fast paced but incredibly rewarding.
