Are you looking for a career in project management? \n Do you have previous rail experience?\n \n If so, TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in delivering infrastructure upgrades of one or more train maintenance depots, ensuring the smooth execution and delivery of contract scope, to cost and to time.
Assisting the Project Manager in the contractor / client / end user relationships and ensuring the daily operation of the depot can continue whilst works are ongoing. \n \n Management of stakeholders, which include Network Rail specialists, Primary contractor workforce, Depot operatives, and company employees.\n \n Responsibilities:\nHelping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project, ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project Manager\nAdministration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work.\nManaging communication and change control between stakeholders, including the client, the contractor and the Depot user population.\nChecking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor's programme\nPreparing planning application documents including the environmental statement\nPromotion of an exemplary Health and Safety culture\n Required Skills:\nGraduate Engineer or similar level of qualifications and proven work experience\nUnderstanding of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 Contract\nExperience in using recognised contract management techniques (e.g. CEMAR)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nFamiliarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous\n Preferred Skills:\nExperience or knowledge of the UK rail industry, including rail safety standards and compliance requirements.\n Main Details:\n Job Title: Assistant Project Manager\n Rate: £375 per day (Umbrella/LTD) or £282 per day (PAYE) – this role is outside IR35\n Contract: 5 Months – starting August 2025 \n Hours of Work: Full time – 5 days per week.
