Laurus Grace is pleased to announce an opportunity for a committed Class Tutor to work with Laurus Grace students within their learning environment. The main responsibility of this role is to support the learning and development of students as well as to act as their primary pastoral contact.
Laurus Grace is an Alternative Provision 11-16 Free School offering specialist provision for students with Social Communication and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. When full, it will provide high-quality educational provision for 80 students. We take an innovative approach to supporting students in their educational and personal development, underpinning our work with the concept of unconditional positive regard.
We follow the outstanding provision within our mainstream Trust secondary schools, developing a high-quality and ambitious curriculum that aligns with our Trust Vision. Our ethos is built upon unconditional positive regard, with the academic curriculum enriched through a restorative curriculum.

This position is a contract for 35 hours per week + 5 days Term Time Only. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays, unless the contract requires you to do so. In total, you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.

Key Skills & Experience
* Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
* Experience of working with young people who are vulnerable and/or have special educational needs
