Job Title: Experienced Children's Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team
Location: Chorley
Salary: Grade 8/9, up to £46,142 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week
International Sponsorship: this role is not open to international sponsorship.
Responsibilities
* Join established Family Safeguarding Teams in Chorley, comprising domestic abuse officers, domestic abuse practitioners, child and family practitioners, and mental health practitioners.
* Deliver intervention to children and their families as part of a multi-agency team using a Motivational Interviewing approach.
* Contribute to core Child in Need and Child Protection work within a multi-disciplinary framework.
* Engage in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Working in the Family Safeguarding Team
Family Safeguarding aims to keep families together and improve outcomes for children and their parents by engaging them more collaboratively. Our teams are multi-disciplinary and will hold core Child in Need and Child Protection work.
Training and Development
New recruits attend our established Social Work Academy, including an extensive induction programme, regular recall days, and training for ASYE social workers. Practice Development Managers lead this Academy to ensure high standards of practice.

Requirements and Additional Information
You must be registered with Social Work England to be appointed as a Social Worker. A car is required for duties and must be insured for business use. The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 applies; successful applicants will apply to the DBS for a disclosure. More information is available on the recruitment process page.
