You will lead a small team, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and care, while building strong relationships with families.You will create a stimulating environment that encourages exploration and independence, supports individual learning journeys, and reflects children's interests and real-world experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & ManagementOversee the wellbeing and development of all children in the roomLead planning across the setting (termly, weekly and daily) to meet a wide range of needsTrack children's progress using an online learning platformManage staff rotas to ensure compliance with EYFS ratiosLine manage and support team members, including CPD developmentMaintain strong communication with parents, including daily updates and responding to queriesTeaching & LearningCreate a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment indoors and outdoorsSupport children's independence, creativity and curiosityObserve, assess and track progress, contributing to reportsPromote positive behaviour and ensure children's safety and wellbeingEnsure all children feel included and supported to achieve their potentialWider ContributionWork in partnership with parents and carersContribute to safeguarding and uphold the school's valuesAttend key events such as open days, parents' evenings and school activitiesSupport trips, visits and wider Early Years experiencesHours of Work & ConditionsCore hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, plus a proportional share of pastoral and organisational dutiesThis is a term-time only position, with a full salary (not pro-rated)Attendance is required at all INSET days and key school events, including Open Mornings, Assessment Days, Settling In Days, Sports Day and Parents' EveningsWorking hours and duties may vary in line with the needs of the school and at the discretion of the Head MasterYou may be required to undertake additional duties that are reasonable and appropriate to the roleAbout YouWe are looking for someone who:Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)Has strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirementsUnderstands safeguarding and child protection proceduresHas excellent organisational and communication skillsIs confident using IT systems and online learning platformsHolds (or is willing to obtain) Paediatric First Aid certificationSafeguarding StatementThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
