Altum Consulting are working with a small but fast-growing media production company to recruit a Sole Finance Manager/Bookkeeper. This role will be based in North-West London and will be 5 days a week in the office. Candidates must be on a short notice period.
Bookkeeper role:
* Solely responsible for the end-to-end finance of the entity
* Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for the company
* Posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable invoices
* Preparing and posting journals including accruals and prepayments
* Performing bank reconciliations
* Processing employee expenses and credit card transactions
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with tax filings
* Administering the monthly payroll process, including pension submissions
* Producing monthly profit and loss reports and balance sheets
* Preparing job cost reports and calculating growth margin
* Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
* Providing analysis to Directors to support business decisions
For this Bookkeeper role you'll be/have:
* Qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
* Experience in a Bookkeeper/Finance Manager role in a small company
* Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
