Based out of our office in Blofield Heath, the Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing large commercial solar projects, with current sites in Scunthorpe and Hull. This role involves regular travel to site and requires strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the delivery of major solar PV projects across the UK.
What are the key responsibilities and deliverables:
Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and delivering solar PV projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
Coordinate day-to-day activities across contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, report issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, and progress reports.
Track delivery of equipment, materials, and logistics to site.
Support health and safety compliance and site inductions.
Help manage project costs and assist in preparing updates for internal and client reporting.
Work closely with internal engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Interest in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and travel regularly to sites (including overnight stays if required).
What essential experience will you have:
Experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role, ideally within construction, energy, or engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Zoho).
Full UK driving licence.
What desirable experience might you have:
Qualification in project management, construction management, engineering or a related field is desirable but not essential.
