Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a leading Further Education college in the West Midlands to recruit a passionate and experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer for a full-time, permanent role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineering professional to step into or continue their journey in education, helping to train and inspire the next generation of engineers.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you'll be delivering and assessing a variety of engineering courses from Level 1 to Level 3. You'll be working with both 16-18-year-olds and adult learners across full-time study programmes and apprenticeship routes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Mechanical Engineering
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback in line with awarding body requirements
* Support learners in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills
* Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and ongoing improvement
* Maintain accurate records of learner achievement and progression
What We're Looking For
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent)
* An assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* A strong background in Mechanical Engineering (e.g. maintenance, design, manufacturing, or CAD)
* Experience teaching or mentoring within an education or training setting (desirable)
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
